What’s included in this Unifix Cubes Activities Pack?

• Build a Town: Students are given a town mat and must find the numbers and build a tower using the correct number of Unifix blocks.
• Roll and Race to 20 (or 50): Students roll a dice, add that many blocks to the mat and try to be the first to make it to 20 (or 50 as an extension)
• Count the Candy: Students choose a card, count the number of candy pieces and add the same number of candy pieces to the candy jar activity mat. As an extension activity, use the candy addition activity mat where students choose two cards and find the total by adding the candy pieces to the candy jar.
• Build the Pattern: Students copy the patterns on these cards and build the towers using counting cubes.
• Continue the Pattern: Students choose a card and continue the pattern using blocks. Additional cards provided to design their own patterns.
• Identify and Stack: Students identify the number each animal is holding and build a tower using the correct number of blocks.
• Count and Stack: Students count the fish in each fish bowl and stack the correct number of blocks to make a tower.
• Spin and Cover: Students use the color spinner on the corner of this activity mat then cover the color they spin with a block.
• Color Matching: Use these mats along with colored cubes for some color matching fun. Includes mats with candy jars, blocks and real life objects to color match.
• Count and Match: Students count the number of cubes the child is holding, match the number card and make the same collection. Includes one set with the collection modeled and one without.
• Alphabet Mats: Students build each uppercase and lowercase letter of the alphabet using blocks and these activity mats.
• Stack the Number: Students use these cards to build block towers for numbers 1 to 10.
• Build the Number: Students use these activity cards to build each numeral 1 to 10.
• How Many More to 10?: This addition activity shows a number of blocks in a tens frame and students add more blocks to the frame to work out how many more are needed to make 10. The numbers can be recorded below to make an addition equation.
• Addition: These activity cards to complete basic addition problems using blocks with each number modeled using pictures.
• Comparing Numbers: Each activity card features two numbers. Students build a tower using the correct number of blocks for each one and compare. Then they add an alligator card to the middle to demonstrate greater than, less than and equal to.
• Pencil Measurement: Students use these activity cards to measure the pencils using Unifix cubes.
• Brick Patterns: Students choose a card and copy the pattern with blocks to build a wall.
