Description

This Spring Activities Pack provides opportunities to develop important preschool and kindergarten skills in a fun way while also learning about the season of spring. Both color and black and white formats are included, where possible, to suit your individual printing needs.

What’s included in this Spring Activities Pack?

Literacy Activities Include:

• Alphabet/Beginning Sound Match
  Print and laminate these cards then students match the letter frog to the beginning sound picture lily pad.
• Spring Sequencing
  Students read the sequencing charts then complete the corresponding cut and paste sequencing worksheet. Includes How to Grow a Plant, How to Fly a Kite, How to Dress for Rainy Weather and How to Have a Picnic.
• Nature Scavenger Hunt
  Place the spring themed picture and vocabulary cards around the room and students mark them off their worksheet as they find each one.
• Part of a Flower
  Including a labeled chart, a cut and paste labeling worksheet and a picture sorting worksheet.

Math Activities Include:

• Feed the Frog
  Students use the instruction cards to feed the frog the correct number of bugs. Frog activity mat and bug tokens included.
• One More, One Less
  These spring-themed task cards focus on one more or one less than numbers 1 to 10.
• Flowers in the Garden
  Students select a card and add the same number of flowers to the garden activity mat.
• Caterpillar Patterns
  Use pom poms, Unifix blocks or other colored manipulatives to copy the patterns on the caterpillars.
• Spring Popsicle Stick Mats
  Students place popsicle sticks on the activity mat, count and record how many they used and trace the vocabulary word.
• I Spy 2D Shapes
  Students choose an I Spy card, locate the item in the picture, then tick it off the checklist.
• Roll It
  This activity mat asks students to roll two dice, record the numbers, model the numbers in the pond using play dough or Unifix blocks, then record the total.
• Bug Jars
  Students focus on the target shape, then search for it and circle it on each of the activity mats.
• Backyard Florist
  These activity mats require students to read the number word then match the correct representations to the number. Formats include numerals, fingers, and tens frames.
• Counting Ladybugs
  Students choose an activity mat and add the correct number of ladybugs.

Fine Motor Activities Include:

• Playdough Mats
  Use these activity mats as a guide to create different spring-themed objects using playdough.
• Spring Crafts
  Including tissue paper flowers, a flower vase craft, a butterfly dot picture and more.
• Flower Arranging
  Students practice cutting and placement with this fun flower arranging craft activity.
• Line Tracing

• Including identifying beginning sounds, counting, a maze, tracing 2D shapes, creating patterns and more.
